| I've gotten married, and moved to New York City, and now I have some time to update you all.
Last week, I was in Las Vegas for a conference - one that I actually went to diligently. Dave could not come with me, so I was completely bored during that time. I don't have too many photos because of this. I didn't feel like taking any.
Nothing much on the blogging front. Only to say that I will work harder on my personal webpage and designing my own personal wedding album. =) Also, I want to design a family webpage too - working on that slowly.

| Lots of things going on. It's been crazy, crazy, crazy. I think I've missed credit card payments because I don't have the leisure time to open my mail. My place is a mess.
Wedding planning - not too much going there. Work - Taking up the vast majority of my time, and sleep. Averaging 3-5 hours a night these days. Down time - It it weren't for Dave, I'd be a major stressball. He at least forces me to re-evaluate and think things over......and we go out to eat at least once a week.
Well, gotta get ready for work!

| Yeah, it was really crazy last night - 6 total deliveries, one cesarean section, no time to properly write notes. But it was fun hopping from room to room delivering left and right. Even the attending got to do a delivery all by herself. Geez, two more days and then I'm liberated for the weekend!

| One of my closer friends got married this past weekend. It was a beautiful wedding for beautiful couple. But it was way too short!!! As I was sitting at Bayview Hospital last night, after I had flown in only that afternoon, I wondered how in the world the weekend just flew by.
My call consisted in babysitting one patient who had persistent uterine atony, requiring all the medications we normally give along with a BLynch suture and uterine packing. To make things worse, she is Jehovah's witness. Estimated blood loss was 1.5 liters. My attending at one point sat next to me and said, "I can't do this anymore, I'm quitting OB." We were both stressing out. It didn't help that I really started to feel the effects of my lack of sleep. But we all got through the night, and the patient is still alive.
Life has its ups and downs, doesn't it? At least I can say I am not bored.

| It happened on Easter Sunday. I had just finished working for 24 hours on Labor and Delivery. Dave paged me about breakfast. He also told me to look in my back seat - which I did only to find the album he had made with photos from the past year. When I got up to his place, the door was double bolted and it took me some time to get inside. When I finally opened the door, his place was sparkling clean and he was all dressed up. There were Easter lilies, and champagne. I had brought in the album and thanked him. I remember thinking how tired I was and how it was nice to come to a home cooked breakfast. Then I saw the ring. He got down on one knee - proposed - I said yes. I was kind of expecting it - although not in my grungy scrubs. But since I live in my scrubs half the time, I suppose it was appropriate.
Save the date, May 2008! More details to come.
